Peter Buh

Peter started his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney, where he rose to Chief of Felony. He’s also a former Illinois Assistant Attorney General, a distinction not many defense lawyers in this area can claim. While he was a prosecutor, he trained police officers and detectives on DUI investigation, sex offenses, theft, violent crime, and securities fraud, and he taught for the National White Collar Crime Center to detectives from Maine to California. That experience means he knows exactly how the state builds a case against you, because he used to build them himself. He was named DUI Prosecutor of the Year before he moved to the defense side. Peter earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and his law degree from Washington University.

Ken Johnson

Ken spent his career as a public defender and was eventually appointed Chief Public Defender by the Circuit Judges. He’s tried hundreds of cases himself and has trained a long line of defense attorneys who came up behind him. Where Peter brings the prosecutor’s-eye view, Ken brings years spent standing next to defendants in courtrooms across the state, so between us we’ve seen a case from both sides of the table.
